Chapter Two

In life, sometimes no matter how hard we try, things just don’t favour us. That’s exactly what happened to me in the past eight months (why i’ve been MIA). I promised myself when I started this blog that I will keep it consistent. Sadly, growing up is much harder than I thought it would be and things will always get in the way.

It will take me forever to tell you everything that has happened to me (I’ll write about it in my future posts). So, for the moment, I will share some of the things that I learned during my low points in hopes that you’ll learn from them too.

I’ve had trouble with my relationships these past couple of months and apparently, some of those relationships ended. I thought that the easy way out of the pain is just to pretend not to care and just cut people off. But not caring eventually leads to hate and for a moment the hate will feel satisfying because it fools you that you have nothing to lose. Does forgetting all the good memories with that person will make you happy? Is replacing love with hate really worth it?

Eventually, you will realize that the hate will just create a burden to your heart and it will hinder you from moving forward.

Despite the excitement, being a young adult is tough. You have your whole life ahead of you but at the same time you’re in a place where you’re not sure about the consequences of your decisions due to lack of experience. At heart, you still feel like a kid but your responsibilities and the expectations people have on you scream differently. You will feel the pressure to make the mature decisions, and we all know how scary that can be.

Maturity doesn’t happen over night, you will have to create mistakes in order to learn and grow (and also cry a lot LOL). Letting go of childish habits such as drama and pettiness aren’t easy. And yes, you will still do it once in a while because old habits really do die hard. But please, don’t be too hard on yourself when you encounter slip ups because you’re still trying to learn and remember that failing makes you human.

Apply the things you learned in the decisions you will make in the future in order to be better and start over the right way. And for you to start over, you have to learn how to accept things and let go. This will lead to peace in your heart and mind.Top & Pants from Sirens
